As an indietronic singer-songwriter, producer and sound engineer, SITARA bridges continents and cultures through sound. Having grown up between Europe and India, she channels an eclectic sensibility into music that’s deeply personal and genre-fluid. From her Cologne-based “Studio X.1,” she crafts sonic narratives that touch on the beauty of sadness, sensuality and the thrill of just being in the moment. Her releases, such as “Marathon Girl” and “I Will” have drawn acclaim for their dreamlike intensity and emotional depth.
Currently, SITARA is working on her solo album and live set “The Dark Stage,” to be released in immersive 3D audio in 2027. With this album she is fulfilling herself a dream - producing with a very high quality - songs that come from moments showing her deepest and sometimes darkest feelings. But also allowing herself to be wild and pure.

‘Chase The Moment’ encourages listeners to embrace the rhythm and participate in life’s impromptu dance. It’s a metaphor for living fully in the present, appreciating the current moment and its possibilities. Drawing inspiration from early 90s’ Goa/Techno parties, the song communicates a sense of unity and shared enjoyment of sound and rhythm.

Sitara discusses her inspiration from the repeating pattern of dance and life. Despite challenges in her art, the concept of a ring parabola provided comfort, symbolizing continual opportunities to realize dreams.
